The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, July 6, 2003 Annie Laurie Friesen, a gracious lady, passed from this world into a better place on June 30, 2003 near Payson, Arizona. Annie was born in Greenfield, Oklahoma on October 3, 1929 to Lester and Nancy (Taylor) Lowman. She was a wonderful wife & soul mate to her husband, Ray C. Friesen. They were together for over 57 years. Annie was also a loving mother to Dianne (Bob) Pawley of Winslow, Arizona and Don (Marie) Friesen of Tonto Basin, Arizona. She leaves behind five beloved grandchildren: Lori (Tom) Bertino, Karen Pawley, Kelly (Shawna) Friesen, Robin (Clint) Cox, and Krisy (Travis) Howeth. A brother, CM Lowman, also survives her. Annie is now a special guardian angel to her eight great grandchildren: Joshua, Brandon, Austin, Melissa, Dakota, Alyssa, Trinity, and Jayden. Annie was a true friend and caring neighbor. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, her special project The Beaver Valley Fire Department Auxiliary will accept donations in her memory.
