Black's Mortuary, Show Low, Arizona Weybourne Irish Stilwell (May 20, 1910 - April 10, 2011) Weybourne Irish Stilwell, 100, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011, at his daughter’s home in White Mountain Lake. He was born May 20, 1910, in the Township of Oasis, Waushara County, WI, to Walter and Ethel (Irish) Stilwell. He attended school in Plainfield, WI, and worked with his father on his farm. Weybourne married Ethel Shepard on April 22, 1930. They celebrated 77 years of marriage before Ethel passed away on January 14, 2008, at 95 years of age. Weybourne, or “Irish” as he was called, owned a Shell station in Plainfield. During the war, he and Ethel worked at Badger Village, in the rocket factory making munitions. Later he was a cheese maker in the creamery, and they owned the Chatterbox Café in Wisconsin. In 1960, they moved to Casa Grande, AZ, then to Mesa and Holbrook. At this time he did carpenter work and drove a truck for Morgan’s Laundry. After retiring, he and his wife traveled back and forth to Plainfield, WI and he was a gifted handyman around home and the family. They belonged to the Holbrook Methodist Church. Irish was a Charter Member of the Holbrook Elks Lodge. Irish is survived by his daughter, Regina Wrasse of White Mountain Lake; four grandchildren, Carl Wrasse of White Mountain Lake, Clayton Wrasse of Show Low, Cynthia Teigen (Michael) of Kingman and Heather Saunders (Dan Laszlow) of Phoenix; five great grandchildren, Michael Holliday (Tanya) of Bakersfield, CA, Olivia Wrasse, John Wrasse, Ben Wrasse and Sam Wrasse of Show Low; two great great grandsons, Cameron and Caelan Holliday and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Judith Saunders; granddaughter, Regina Michelle Saunders; and son in law, Carl Wrasse, Sr. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 23, at Holbrook Methodist Church, with Rev. Bob Cutlipp officiating.
