Kathleen Goodman Johnston, 71, died April 8, 2011 at home surrounded by family and friends to be with her eternal sweetheart. She died after a short but vicious battle with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma.
She was born July 8, 1939, in Tucson, to Morten and Ione Goodman, Kathleen spent most of her growing up years in Mesa. She married the love of her life, Earl Johnston, in 1963 and later moved to Snowflake where she raised her children and lived the rest of her life. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and spent many years working as a ward librarian. She was a dedicated member who always faithfully fulfilled her duties, and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Kathleen is survived by five of her six children: Joseph (Colene) Johnston of Glendale, Linda Griggs of Snowflake, Susan (Ken) McCain of Taylor, Jim (Sherry) Johnston of Snowflake, and Robert (Kim) Johnston of Snowflake; sister, Nell Durrant of Salt Lake City, Utah and by many grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Johnston, and son, Ray Johnston.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 11, at the Snowflake Stake Center. Interment was at the Mike Ramsey Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake.
Arrangements were handled by Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor.
