DRAKE, Stanley Eugene


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Wednesday, April 13, 2011 - Stanley Eugene Drake passed away April 8, 2011, in Lake Havasu City at the age of 89. He was born to Eugene and Dora (Holiday) Drake Nov. 6, 1921, in Reedley, Calif. Stanley moved to Cudahy, Calif., as a child. He attended Bell High School. Following high school, he joined the Army Air Corps during World War II, proudly serving his country from Aug. 8, 1942 to Feb. 8, 1946. Stanley enjoyed water skiing and working with the Anglers United. After retirement, he and his beloved Elizabeth moved to Lake Havasu 20 years ago from Los Angeles, Calif. Stanley leaves behind his loving wife of almost 67 years, Elizabeth Drake; daughter, Martha Drake Eisen; sister, Jeanne Drake Hullana; grandchildren, Eric Drake, Lucy Drake, Holly Drake Esparza and Jauvier Esparza; great-grandchildren, Grant Esparza and Jackson Esparza and foster great-grandchildren, Andrea and Vanessa. Memorial services will take place Friday, at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on 504 N. Acoma Blvd., Lake Havasu City.
