HUNT, Jimmie V.

The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ December 03, 2006 Jimmie V. Hunt, 96, died Nov. 26, 2006. She was born in Mapelsville, Ala., Sept. 4, 1910, to Tommie amd Henry Groom. Jimmie came to Arizona in 1928 and settled in Camp Verde 30 years ago. She was active in community volunteer work, giving of her time to the Camp Verde Historical Society, the Camp Verde Saddle Bags horse club as well as the Verde Valley Horse Council. She is survived by her sons, Milton G. Evans and Marvin K. Evans; her daughter, Nancy Buckel; her stepsons, Ralph Ash, Dave Kemper, Don Kemper, and Michael Kemper; 18 grandchildren and more than 20 great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Chapel of Bueler Funeral Home, 143 Arnold St., in Camp Verde. Bueler Funeral Home assisted the family.
