Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Sunday, April 17, 2011 Henry Horejsi of Flagstaff, 98, died April 14, 2011, of natural causes with his family by his side. He was born May 21, 1912, in Olivia, Minn. He moved his family from Minnesota to Flagstaff in 1958 and was the owner of Horejsi Floor Covering in Flagstaff. He and his wife, Virginia, moved to Phoenix after retirement in 1978 and returned to Flagstaff in 2005. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, fourth degree, as well as being involved with St. Vincent de Paul in Phoenix and Flagstaff for many years. He was very active in the Catholic church, being involved with many programs and charity work at St. James Parish in Phoenix. He loved gardening and dancing, and he had quite a collection of hats and ties. He had a great love for people, especially his family. He and Virginia were married on April 12, 1944. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Virginia; daughters Dianne, Kathleen (Ken), Sharlene (Chris) and Barbara; and sons Douglas and Jerome (Trish); as well as 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Horejsi; brother Frank Horejsi; and sisters Blanche Faiman and Loretta Loskota. Rosary will be Tuesday April 19, at 7 p.m. at Norvel Owens Mortuary with Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday, April 20, at 1 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 16 W.
