Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from April 19 to April 26, 2011 - Dorabelle Marie Rupert, age 92, a 16-year resident of Bullhead City, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011, in Bullhead City, Ariz. Dorabelle was born on January 30, 1919, in Lafayette, Ohio, to parents, Lowell and Wilma (James) McQuown, Sr., of Lafayette, Ohio. Dorabelle lived in Ada, Ohio, until 1967 when she married and moved to St. Marys, Ohio, until her husband passed away in 1994. Then in 1995, she moved to Bullhead City, where she since resided. Dorabelle was employed during her life as a seamstress and waitress. She was also a member of numerous organizations and womens' clubs, as follows: Mother's Club, Liberty Grange, Farm Bureau Council, Farmers Community Institute, American Legion Ladies Aux., Eight & Forty, Eagles, Crochet Club, president of PTA, Prof. Bus. Womens's Assoc., and Clef Club. She was also a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church in Ada, Ohio, and Hope United Methodist Church in Bullhead City, Ariz. Dorabelle was preceded in death by her two husbands, Justin Shadley and Norbert Rupert; brother, Lowell McQuown, Jr.; and sister, Betty Ludwig. Dorabelle is survived by her two children, Pamela (husband Duane, deceased) Thomson of Forest, Ohio and E. Wesley (Deb) Shadley of Bullhead City, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Dan (Wendy) Thomson of Forest, Ohio; Doreen (Eric) Flowers of Forest, Ohio; Jennifer (Trevor) Wagner of Amarillo, Texas; Megan (Keith) Norgrove of Edgewood, N.M.; Rachel (Chris) Nuchols of Bullhead City, Ariz.; and Ethan Shadley of Bullhead City, Ariz.; eight great-grandchildren, Corey Thomson, Brayden Flowers, Brenna Flowers, Alex Wagner, Hannah Wagner, Roland Wagner, Aja Norgrove, and Kail Norgrove; and 11 nieces and nephews. Services where previously held.
