Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, April 20, 2011 John Michael Gomez, age 62 of Globe, Ariz. passed away Monday, April 11, 2011. He was born in Globe on June 24, 1948, the son of Henrietta (Salas) and Miguel D. Gomez. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and a part time resident at Horizon Group Home. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Miguel D. Gomez; grandmother, Manuela V. Salas; grandfather, Mauro Salas; and nephew, John M. Velasco. John is survived by his (Mamacita), Henrietta S. Gomez; two sisters, Yolanda (René) Velasco and Stella (Don) Manspeaker; one brother, Thomas S. (Carol) Gomez; and he was Uncle Johnny to 17 nieces and nephews, 36 great nieces and nephews and six great-great nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone at Connie’s Store for the friendship and kindness through the years and to Copper Communities Hospice for all the compassion and support. Services for John were held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 201 S. Broad St. in Globe, Ariz. Final resting place is Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens in Miami, Ariz. Funeral arrangements for John Michael Gomez were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Globe.
