Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona March 11, 1965 A Native Arizonan Summoned Funeral services were held at 11 o’clock last Saturday morning in the Wickenburg Funeral Home for Clyde Douglas, age 74, who passed away at his home on the Prescott Highway March 3 following a lingering. The services were conducted by the Rev. David C. Trimble of Prescott and burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr. Douglas was a native Arizonan, born on a farm near Gila Bend. He engaged in ranching all of his life in Yavapai and Maricopa Counties. He and his father, the late Angus Douglas conducted cattle raising operations prior to his father’s death in 1926. With his son George he developed a large spread in the Morristown area extending toward the White Tank Mountains. In the 1930’s Mr & Mrs Douglas managed the Champie Guest Ranch in the Castle Hot Springs area. Besides the widow Annie, he is survived by his son George, now a resident of Nogales. His brother Ernest Douglas is the widely known editor of the Arizona Farmer – Ranchman. Two sisters, Mrs Lourine Bunchy of Phoenix and Mrs D. N. Levy of Berkeley, Calif., and three grandchildren also survive.
