Doubly Bereaved
Thursday, April 1 was a sad day for Dr. Floyd B. Bralliar. Word reached him the morning of that day of the death of an older sister, Mrs William Cheek of Tulaski, Tenn., in the hospital in that city, and also of the death of his nephew John Bralliar of Fraklin, Ky., in an automobile accident in Alabama.
Mrs. Cheek’s death was due to pneumonia. Funeral services were held April 2 in Tulaski. Also surviving are a sister Mrs. Paul Rahn of San Leandro, Calif., and another brother Lt. Col. Max Bralliar who is stated at Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, Tex.
Dr. Bralliar’s nephew was 18 years of age and was serving in the United States Navy in Florida. The fatal accident, a head-on collision, occurred March 28. The son of the late Dr. John Bralliar, he spent three months visiting the Bralliar home here two years ago. Funeral services for the young sailor were also held April 2 with burial in the National Cemetery in Nashville, Tenn.
