The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 15, 1965 Rites Tuesday For Mrs Stone Final rites for Mrs Hattie Stone, widow of the late Dr. Charles Stone and mother of Mrs Reuben Stifel, were conducted at the First Presbyterian Church Tuesday afternoon, April 13, at 2 o'clock with the Rev. John L. Williams, pastor of that church, officiating. Burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mrs Stone, who had been in ill health for the past four months, passed away Saturday, April 10 in the home of her daughter, with whom she had made her home. She was born July 23, 1881 in Chicago where she was married to Dr. Stone in 1903. They came west 35 years ago, living in Colorado and moving to Arizona 18 years ago. Dr. Stone passed away here nine years ago. Surviving, in addition to Mrs Stifel, are a son Charles G. Stone of Bakersfield, Calif., and two sisters, Mrs N. J. Bond of Chicago and Mrs William Hess of Evansville, Ill. Four grandchildren and five great grandsons also survive.
