Wittmann Man Dies of Wounds
Amos L. Keith of Wittmann, brought to Community Hospital here June 10 with a .22 calibre bullet wound in the left chest and later transferred to the Whipple Veterans Hospital, died of the wound, the local sheriff’s office has learned.
Mr. Keith, who was 75 years of age, told sheriff’s deputies that the wound was accidentally inflicted. He was found lying on his bed in his quarters in Wittmann some two hours later and brought here. It is believed the only survivor is a sister, Mrs. Anna Ross of Farmington, N.M.
