Barnette was called to San Francisco Saturday when word reached him that his mother, Mrs. Rebecca Americus Barnette, 85 years old, was very seriously ill. He reached her bedside Sunday and although Mrs. Barnette lived until Tuesday she never regained consciousness. Besides Mrs. J. R. Barnette she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ione Mix and Mrs. Maude Brenner and two sons, A. F. Barnette of Chandler, who was also with his mother at the time of her death and Jesse Barnette of Los Angeles. Funeral services were conducted Thursday in San Francisco. Mr. Barnette will likely stop at San Pedro and see his daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Heuloth before returning to Wickenburg Sunday.
