The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ October 28, 1965 Monday Rites for Mr. Strait Funeral services were held at 11 o’clock Monday morning of this week in the Wickenburg Funeral Home for Pearlie Owen Strait, proprietor of the Union Oil service station at the intersection of Constellation Road and Highway 60-70 for a short time until ill health forced him to give up that business. He passed away at his home at the Wheel Estates Trailer Court Thursday evening, Oct. 21. The services were conducted by the Rev. J. Paul Downing of Phoenix. Burial took place in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr. Strait was born in Wisconsin June 15, 1907 and had lived most of his life in Oregon before moving to Wickenburg two years ago. While residing in Albany, Ore., he operated antique store. He is survived by the widow Lorna; a son Andy Strait of Portland, Ore., and two daughters, Mrs. Agnes Duncan, Bay Creek Ore., and Mrs. Pearl Siebrecht, Medford, Ore. Seven grandchildren also survive.
