The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ November 4, 1965 Jim Goodwine Services Held Wednesday Sorrow was widespread throughout this community upon receipt of the sad news of the death of James Goodwine, 38-year-old Wickenburg area rancher, in the Prescott Community Hospital shortly after midnight Sunday. He had been admitted to the hospital two weeks ago following his return from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., where, for three months, he had undergone tests and treatment. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Wickenburg Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Bert Follmar of the Calvary Baptist Church and burial following in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr. Goodwine was born October 18, 1927 in Danville, Ill., and moved to Sandusky, Mich., when a child. He and his family moved to Prescott 14 years ago and some six years ago acquired their Wagon Box Ranch on the Hassayampa River north of Wickenburg, where they have been raising Angus Cattle and Appaloosa horses. Mrs. Goodwine is a talented and widely known painter of Western horses and scenery. She survives along with two daughters, Susan and Robin, both of Wickenburg; his parents Mr & Mrs Everett Goodwine of Sandusky; two brothers William and Robert and a sister Ruth, all of Michigan. Two stepsons and several grandchildren also survive.
