Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Thursday, April 21, 2011 Rosina C. New, 80, of Flagstaff died Friday, April 15, 2011. Mrs. New was born Sept. 22, 1930, in Rosendale, N.Y., to Italian immigrant parents Urbano and Agnesa DiCicco. She and her parents moved to New Jersey in her teens where she eventually met and married the love of her life, John J. New Sr., and had four children. In 1994, the couple retired to Flagstaff where they spent their remaining years together. Mrs. New stayed true to her Catholic faith, enjoyed outings with friends, traveling and spending time with her family. Her lasagna will be sorely missed. She is survived by her four children, Pat, John Jr., Janet and Kathy; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brother Larry. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John, and brother Tony. Visitation will be at Barrett Funeral Home in Tenafly N.J., from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. April 25, and a funeral Mass followed by burial in Madonna Cemetery, Chapel on the Hill in Fort Lee, N.J. at 10 a.m. The family would greatly appreciate that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
