Jack Carroll Rites Monday
Funeral services were held at the Wickenburg Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Monday of this week for Jack Carroll, a resident of Wickenburg for the past 34 years, who passed away in Community Hospital November 4 following a lingering illness. The Rev. John William of the First Presbyterian Church officiated and burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
Mr. Carroll was in the restaurant business here almost continuously during his 34 years of residence. He owned and operated restaurants in various parts of downtown Wickenburg. At the time of his retirement a few years ago he was operating the Horseshoe Café on Tegner Street which he had owned over a considerable period of years. His wife Alta was associated with him in his restaurant operations.
Born August 15, 1886 in Paris County, Kentucky, Mr Carroll came to Arizona 45 years ago and to Wickenburg in 1931.
In addition to the widow he is survived by two step-daughters, Mrs Bernice Villa and Mrs Lorene Madril.
