Rites In Oregon For Mr Buckholz
Funeral services were held in Grants Pass, Ore., November 10 for Wallie (Buck) Buckholz who will be remembered here as an employee of the Wickenburg Ice Co., just before World War II. His death occurred November 6 in Grants Pass where he was making his home with his daughter Mrs. Beverly Wiser who graduated from Wickenburg Highs School in 1945 and later worked as a telegraph operator at the Santa Fe depot here.
Mr. Buckholz was born January 2, 1904 in Tawas City, Mich., moved to Wickenburg in 1941 from where he enlisted in the Air Force in January 1942 and served four years in the Pacific theatre. Following his discharge he moved to New Mexico. His former wife, Dorothy Buckholz is now living in Litchfield Park, Ariz. During the war she was a staff nurse at the hospital here and is presently on the nursing staff at the base hospital in Litchfield Park.
Also surviving is another daughter, Mrs Patricia Millay of Casper, Wyo., and five grandchildren.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars conducted the funeral services in Grants Pass.
