The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ November 25, 1965 Rites Pending For Mr Cotton At press time Monday, services were pending for Charles Edward Cotton, awaiting the expected arrival of his son from Japan. Mr Cotton, who was 65 years of age, was found dead in his home one-half mile west of Wittmann and just off the Phoenix Highway at 8 a.m. November 16 by L. D. Lester, who had been taking care of him during his prolonged illness. Death was due to natural causes, reports Sheriff’s Sergeant James Mason who was called to the scene. The body was taken to the county medical examiner. Mr. Cotton had been a resident of Arizona for more than 10 years, mostly in the Wittmann - Morristown area and had been engaged in the real estate business before becoming ill. He is survived by a son, Capt. Charles E. Cotton, Jr., stationed at the Yokota Air Base in Japan, and a brother William J. Cotton of Boise, Idaho.
