Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona December 16, 1965 Car-School Bus Crash Claims One John Farris, 75-year old resident of Parker, Ariz., was brought to Community Hospital here the morning of December 8 suffering from injuries received in an automobile – school bus collision 3½ miles east of Salome which claimed the life of his wife Grace, 71. The Arizona Highway Patrol reported that the Ferris car, driven by Mr Ferris collided with the Yuma County school bus driven by William B. Lee, age 55. Lee, they said, was driving west with two students in the bus and applied the brakes as he approached a disabled car parked at the side of the westbound lane. The bush skidded into the eastbound lane, reversed direction and was struck in the rear by the Ferris eastbound vehicle. Neither Lee nor the students were injured.
