The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Monday, July 7, 2003 Harold W. Martin, 86, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on July 4, 2003. His wife & daughter were at his side. He was preceded in death by his daughter Darlene. Harold & Ruth were married 65 years. Harold was born March 4, 1917 to Charles & Maude Martin of Canton, Ill. Harold & Ruth moved to Phoenix in 1943, where he was a master carpenter for over 35 years with Local 408. He was also a member of the Mason Silver Trowel #29. He is survived by his wife Ruth, daughter Vicki McPherson, three grandsons Dennis Brown, Martin Brown & Clifford Brown, 8 great-grandchildren, a sister Edith Smith of Moweaqua, III. & brother Kenneth (Audrey) Martin of Knoxville, Ill. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Visitation Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 719 N. 27th Ave, Phx, July 8th 10:30 AM. A memorial service will follow at 11AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to Hospice of Arizona, 2222 W. Northern Ave., Phx AZ 85021 in Harold's name.
