Stuart “Cubby” Gia, 51, of Camp Verde died Tuesday, April 19, 2011. He was born June 29, 1959, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Joseph and Betty Lou (Smith) Gia. 

Stuart worked many years as a SWIFF Firefighter. He also was a devoted softball coach and loved to play basketball. 

He is survived by his brothers, Adrian Gia, Ted Gia, and Frank Gia; his aunts, Hattie Puggie and Grace Lomaintewa. 

Visitation will be 7:00 to 10:00pm Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at The Camp Verde Indian Community Rock Church. Funeral Services will be 10:00am Wednesday, April 27, 2011 also at Camp Verde Indian Community Rock Church. 

Burial will immediately follow at Yavapai-Apache Nation Cemetery.
