VAN HORN, Patti Nell

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Tuesday, April 26, 2011 Patti Nell (Surratt) Van Horn, 54, died April 24, 2011, in Ashfork, after battling cancer and liver disease for many years. She was born Dec. 6, 1956, in Apple Valley, Calif. She was passionate about art and nature in all forms, and earned degrees in fine arts and horticulture. Mrs. Van Horn could often be found camping with her family, building greenhouses and gardening, as well as creating beautiful pieces of art. Her friends and family will all miss her strong will that infused every part of her life. She is survived by her husband, Michael; daughter Jessica Smith; sons Andrew, Chris and Kenny; six grandchildren; and her mother, Frances Rice. A service will be Thursday at the Ashfork Settlers Cemetery. The Hampton Funeral Home in Prescott, (928) 778-4400, is handling arrangements.
