STRADLING, Marvin Reed


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona Marvin Reed Stradling died peacefully at his home April 24, 2011, in St. Johns surrounded by family and friends. He was born Aug. 22, 1932, in St. Johns. His first job and love was cowboying, a love that continued throughout his life and took him to various locations throughout the state. He is survived by his wife, Kay Stradling, and his first wife, Neysia Stradling; children: Patricia (Les) Ackerson (Danny) Rodriguez, Sheryl (Val) Whipple, Reed Dee (Cheryl), SueAn (Chuck) Collins, 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three sisters, and six brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints St. Johns Downtown Chapel. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services at 1 p.m. Burnham Mortuary handled arrangements.
