RUSSELL, Roy Daniel

Wickenburg (AZ) Sun Wednesday, October 25, 1995, p A-2 Roy Daniel Russell, of Peoria, died Oct 18. He was 46. Mr Russell was born Aug 6, 1949 in Wickenburg. He was a lifelong resident of Arizona. He attended school in Bagdad, Wickenburg, and graduated from Glendale. Mr Russell joined the Army in 1968, serving in Germany and later re-enlisting as sergeant with the 9th Infantry Division. He was later awarded the Army Commendation Medal with "V" Device (1st Oak Leaf Cluster) for heroism against an armed hostile force in the Republic of Vietnam. He then retired and went to work for the U.S. Postal Service as a building maintenance engineeer for nine years. Services and interment in the V.A. National Cemetery in Phoenix have been held.
