Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Salem Lutheran Church in St Cloud for Lucille M. Setterholm, age 92, of New Ulm and formerly of St Cloud, who passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2011 in New Ulm. Reverend Wayne Anderson will officiate. Burial will take place in North Star Cemetery in St Cloud. Friends and family may call after 12:00 noon on Wednesday at the church.
Lucille was born on November 15, 1918 in Miltona Township, Minnesota to Ed and Sophie (Henning) Lemke. She married Edward Setterholm on July 11, 1942 in Aberdeen, Washington. Lucille was a full-time housewife while raising her children as well as working several part-time jobs throughout her life. She lived in Central Minnesota the majority of her life. Lucille was very active in Salem Lutheran Church and activities as well as belonging to the BS NF Veteran Employee Group.
She enjoyed reading, playing cards (500, Bridge, Whist, Kings Corner, Solitary), and watching the Minnesota Twins on TV. Lucille especially treasured the time spent with her family.
Lucille is survived by her children, Barbara Setterholm of Portland,OR, Nancy Beard of Monroe, WA, Eddy Setterholm of St Cloud, and Glen (Carol) Setterholm of New Ulm; grandchildren, Suzy, Erik, Gail, Nicki, and Lindsey; and great-grandchildren, Livia, Liza, and Morgin; sisters-in-law, Alice Setterholm of Lakeville and Bea Lusk of Wickenburg, AZ; and many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in May of 1969. Memorials are preferred to Salem Lutheran Church in St Cloud and Oak Hills Assisted Living Center in New Ulm.
