The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 20, 1966 THORTON RITES HELD JANUARY 17 Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday of this week for Otho Thornton, 61-year–old Aguila rancher, who passed away January 14 in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Phoenix. The Rev. Scott Siegle officiated and burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery. A native of Texas, Mr. Thornton had lived in Arizona 43 years, operating ranches in the Scottsdale and Queen Creek areas before moving to Aguila seven years ago where he was president of Thornton and Sons Farms. Surviving are the wife, Eulala; three sons Wayne of Aguila, Gerald H. of Phoenix and Harry E. of Harquahala; two daughters, Mrs. Joan Grandinetti of Scottsdale, and Mrs Monica Goetz of Seligman; a sister Mrs Julia St. Clair, Phoenix and three brothers, Matt and Ira, both of Phoenix and W. A. of South Gate, Calif.
