Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 10, 1966, p. 10 Services for “Nick Oberon Nicholas Samuel Oberon, affectionately known to friends as “Nick,” passed away early Tuesday morning while being taken from his home to Community Hospital. Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Wickenburg Funeral Home with the Rev. John Williams of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. The Masonic Lodge, with which Mr Oberon was long affiliated, was to conduct graveside rites at the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr. Oberon had devoted his entire lifetime to mining and he was widely known in mining circles throughout the state. He was considered an authority on mines and minerals in this area. Born in Yugoslavia May 28, 1897, he came to this country and to the Wickenburg area when 21 years of age. He was a Shriner and active in the Wickenburg Shrine Club. He is survived by his wife Jeanette and one N. S. Oberon, Jr., of Phoenix. Four grandchildren also survive. The family has suggested contributions to Community Hospital. ~~~~~~~~~ Note: Correct spelling for last name is Oberan.......
