Mrs Howard Memorial
A memorial service was held at the Wickenburg Funeral Home Saturday afternoon of last week for Maud Brewster Howard, who passed away March 2 in Community Hospital. Rev. Dan Gerrard officiated.
Mrs Howard was born in Cazenovia, N.Y.; March 23, 1879. She graduated from high school at Chagrin Falls, O., and attended Ohio Northern University at Ada. She and Raymond H. Howard were married October 10, 1914 at Auburn, N. Y. In 1917 the couple came west, living in Billings, Mont., for 10 years and then Butte, Where they lived until Mr Howard retired in 1956.
Since retirement the Howards spent their winters in Arizona, nine of them at Desert Cypress Trailer Ranch in Wickenburg. Maude Howard will be sadly missed by her many friends at Desert Cypress.
Interment will be at Cazenovia, N. Y. Surviving are her husband, Ray; two daughters, Mrs Milton Cookson, Roundup, Mont., and Mrs Ernest Thurlow, St. Paul, Minn.; one son, Raymond, Jr., Helena, Mont,; 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Howard was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Cazenovia.
