Davis Rites on Thursday
Funeral services are to be held at 2 p.m. Thursday of this week for Harold Davis, a resident of Wickenburg for the past 14 years, who passed away following a long illness.
Following the services at the Wickenburg Funeral Home burial will take place in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
Mr Davis has driven out on the desert March 10 and apparently was stricken in the vicinity of the site of the Easter sunrise services. When he did not return home that night police were notified and at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon Police Chief Dick Savage and Police Sergeant Richard Murray found him in his parked car. Death was due to natural causes.
Mr. Davis was born April 5, 1905 in Phoenix, the son of the late Jess Davis and Mrs Davis. The family lived for many years in Prescott. Harold came to Wickenburg 15 years ago and was employed in the Amusement Hall operated by his parents on South Tegner Street.
He is survived by his mother Mrs. Jess Davis, a brother Walter W. of Phoenix and sister Mrs Pearl Sutton of Arlington, West Va.
