Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 14, 1966, p. 1 Women Dies Near Aguila In Head-On A Phoenix woman, killed in a head-on crash on Highway 60-70 one mile west of Aguila at 8 p.m. April 8 was the first highway fatality of the year in the Wickenburg highway patrol area. Mrs Bernita Ratliff, age 33 was dead on arrival at Community Hospital here. Her husband Gene, 35, was admitted and the two Ratliff children, Wrene 13 and Craig 10, were treated and dismissed. Also admitted was the driver of the other vehicle, Harvey Harden, age 61, also of Phoenix. Highway Patrolman B. C. (Chuck) Irwin, investigating officer, said the Ratliff’s 1964 Thunderbird, westbound, and the Harden 1965 Chevrolet pickup, eastbound, met head on. He cited Harden for driving left of center.
