Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 21, 1966, p.7 Mary Nowlin Funeral Was Held Monday Funeral services for Mrs Mary L. Nowlin, wife of Glen Tillman Nowlin and a resident of Wickenburg for the past 26 years, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday of this week in the Wickenburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Elam of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mrs Nowlin passed away Friday afternoon, July 15 in Community Hospital following a lingering illness. A few weeks ago she fell at her home in Country Club Park and fractured her leg. After hospitalization in Phoenix she brought to the local hospital. She was born March 5, 1902 near Georgetown, Tex., was married to Mr. Nowlin in 1923 and came here with him in 1940 when he and his brother bought the Barnette Dairy which they operated for several years under the name of the Nowlin Dairy. When the dairy was sold in 1944 Mr & Mrs Nowlin bought the Motel Mecca and Mecca Indian Store which they operated up until two years ago. They then retired and moved from the motel to Country Club Park. Besides the husband, the only other survivor is a brother Hallie Davidson of Yucaipa, Calif., who came here for the services. Other here were Mr Nowlin’s brother Walter of Buckeye and two nephews and their wives, McLin Nowlin of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Albert Nowling of the San Fernando Valley, Calif.
