Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Monday, April 25, 2011 - Robert David Johnson passed away peacefully at the home of his parents on April 23, with his loving family by his side. Bobby was born at San Jose, Calif., Sept. 7, 1957. He grew up in California and Oregon, graduating from Sacred Heart Academy in Klamath Falls, Ore. He later graduated from Mohave Community College in Lake Havasu City and went on to get a degree in geology at Northern Arizona University. He then worked in the gold-mining industry in Alaska and Elko, Nev. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Patricia Johnson; brothers, Jim and Scott and; favorite sister, Roxanna Donelan; together with nephews, Jesse Johnson, Robert Johnson II, Vincent and Anthony Donelan; and nieces, Ashley Donelan and Ariel Johnson; plus two greatnieces, Jaya and Lexi. Bobby always had a way with people. He could talk to anyone about everything. He loved to read, do crossword puzzles and travel. We will all miss his gentle smile and great sense of humor. Bobby was preceded in death by his grandfather, Huck Nordeen and his grandmother, Gladys Nordeen; grandmother, Leona Beard; cousins, Kim, Debbie and David; and his beloved dog, Lexor.
