Charles "PI Charlie" Tassoulis, age 77, a 6-year resident of Mohave Valley, Ariz, died Friday, April 22, 2011, in Fort Mohave, Ariz. Charlie was born May 5, 1933, in New York.
Charlie who was a resident of Long Beach, Calif. for 28 years, retired in 2005 after 36 years of service with McDonnell Douglas Boeing Co. where he worked as an aviation final inspector. He then moved to Mohave Valley to live the "Good Life" surrounded by family and friends.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 36 years, Helen Tassoulis; son, Arthur Ebel; two daughters, Patricia (Gene) Souza and Jody (James) Iriye; mother, Muriel Diescher; sister, Charlene (Bob) Priest; four granddaughters, Heather (Scott) Miley, Brittany (Devon) Johnson, Kelli Lamphear and Dawn Cruz; four grandsons, Joseph Fenstermaker, Aj Ebel, Thomas Iriye, and Joshua Nard; three great-grandchildren, Brianna Mercer, Landen Johnson and Aubrey Johnson; nieces, Patty (Stacey) Mezenen and Tatsia (Charlie) Roberts; many more extended grandchildren; plus many nieces and nephews; friends, Joe and Bobbi Breeza, Tom Mullagan, John Flowers, and many, many more Boeing retirees who are friends; and his best friend, and companion of 12 years, Dakota.
Charlie is not gone for he lives in our hearts.
Viewing will be at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Desert Lawn Funeral Home, 9250 S. Ranchero Lane, Mohave Valley, Ariz. A service will follow at 1:00 p.m.
