Wickenburg (AZ) Sun Thursday, September 1, 1966, p 12 Funeral services were to be held in Monticello, Ill., Wednesday of this week for Walter G. Behnke, a resident here since last November, who died the morning of August 26 in Community Hospital here. He was admitted to the hospital August 17. A native of Illinois, in which state he was born January 28, 1911, Mr Behnke was engaged in government work until ill health forced his retirement and removal to Wickenburg. He and his wife, Virginia, who survives, came here from Royal Oak, Mich. Other survivors are three sons, Jon, at the home here; Paul, in military service and Walter C, residing in California; his parents, Mr & Mrs Walter F Behnke of Wickenburg and a sister, Mrs Margaret Keller of Olympia, Wash.
