JUDD, Joyce

Joyce Woosley Judd born July 25, 1924, died April 22, 2011. Joyce was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Cecil and Ruth Woosley and moved with them to Nogales, Arizona during World War II. She met James "Tony" Judd in Nogales after the war; they married on January 20, 1948. They soon moved to Tucson where they raised their family. Joyce will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 63 years, Tony; her daughters, Gayle (Russell) Simpson, Nancy (Richard) Shattuck and son, Gary (Patsy) Judd; her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Kay, Jack and Robert and her sister, Joan. A graveside ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Eastlawn Cemetery on East Grant Road followed by a luncheon and time of remembrance at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 7801 E. Kenyon Dr. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Meals on Wheels, Gospel Rescue Mission or Evercare Hospice.
