The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ November 10, 1962 Rites In Phoenix For William Reedy William Reedy, a Wickenburg resident for approximately 46 years before he went to Phoenix last year to reside with a daughter, died in a Phoenix hospital Thursday morning of last week Funeral services were conducted at 8:15 a.m. last Saturday in St. Judie’s Catholic Church of Phoenix with burial following in St. Francis Cemetery there. Born in Pennsylvania, Mr. Reedy came to Wickenburg in 1915 and worked the Monte Cristo Mine. He followed the mining and electrical tread for many years and then became superintendent of Wickenburg’s electric power plant in the days when the plant operated only at given hours during the evening to furnish power for lights. When the town ceased producing its own electricity in 1943, Mr. Reedy retired. Surviving are the widow, Susan Reedy who is a patient in a Phoenix hospital; one daughter, Mrs. Mary McKee, one grandson, Craig Vail; and two great grandsons, all of Phoenix.
