Annie Rose Nebitsi-Williams, 92, died April 30, 2011, in Winslow, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born June 27, 1918, in Hard Rock.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with a big heart. She always had a story to tell and a song to sing to whomever would visit.
She married Jim Williams in November of 1937, created their home in Winslow and raised eight children. Throughout her life she dedicated herself to helping others and raising her family. She helped raise 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Nebitsi-Williams is survived by her brother, Harry Tsedah; daughters Elsie Williams of Winslow, Dorothy Naha of Winslow, Seraphine Holder of Flagstaff and Linda Duran of Winslow; sons Delford Williams of Topeka, Kan., and Clarence Williams of Winslow; and two in-laws, Calvin Holder and Lorraine Williams.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Jim Williams; sons James, Eugene Sr. and Francis Williams; and one granddaughter.
A funeral service will be today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Winslow at 11 a.m., viewing at 10 a.m. Internment to follow at Desert View Cemetery.
