Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 5, 1946 Mrs. Jennie Willis, wife of R. A. Willis, and a pioneer resident of Arizona, passed away suddenly at the family home Saturday morning, March 30. Mrs. Willis had not been in the best of health for several years, but recently had shown considerable improvement and her sudden death was a shock to her family and friends. She was born in Salina, Utah March 31, 1876 and when a child moved with her parents to Oregon. The family later moved to California and then to Arizona. Mr. and Mrs. Willis were married at Gallup. N.M. on November 9, 1921. She is survived by her husband and four children, Vernon Fugatt of Benson, Ariz., Barney and John Fugatt of Wickenburg and Mrs. Pearl Latham of Phoenix, formerly of Wickenburg. A brother, Leonard Jackson, and two sisters, Mrs. Josie Dow and Mrs. Ruth Hemmingston, all of Santa Ana, Calif., also survive. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Wickenburg Chapel, conducted by Elder L. H. Haderlie of the L.D.S. church, assisted by two of Mr. Willis’ brothers, H. T. Willis of Mesa and A. L. Willis of Chandler. Burial took place in Mesa.
