DENKHOUSE, James K.

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 31, 1947, p. 1 James K. Denkhouse Summoned On Train En Route to Detroit James K. Denkhouse, who lived in Wickenburg several years ago and returned here a year ago last August, passed away on a Santa Fe train near Garden City, Kan., early Wednesday morning, according to a telegram received later that day by Mr. And Mrs. E. A. Stein, who had befriended Mr. Denkhouse when he resided here. In poor health when he came here in August, 1945, Mr. Denkhouse failed to improve and upon the arrival of his brother, Ronald Denkhouse from Detroit Sunday, it was decided to take him back to his home in Detroit. He was brought to the train Monday evening by ambulance and placed in a drawing room. His mother, Mrs. Gertie Denkhouse, who had been with her son, and the brother, accompanied him. The telegram telling of his death was sent by the brother. It is assumed that funeral services and burial will take place in Detroit.
