Resident Here Two Months Is Summoned
Mrs. Ziepha Scott of Wickenburg for the last two months, passed away at her home on South Jefferson Street at 7:30 a.m. Monday, March 10. She had been in ill health for a long while, coming here from her home in Casey Creek, Ky., in the vain hope she would find this climate beneficial.
Mrs. Scott was born in Casey Creek October 19, 1911, and had always lived in that small community until moving to Arizona. Her husband came here last September at which time he bought the home on Jefferson Street. He brought Mrs. Scott and the four sons here early in January. The four boys are Hoyt, 11; Charles, 9; J. D., 7 and Larry, 2.
Mrs. Scott is also survived by a sister, Mrs. M. V. Wolford of Casey Creek who was called here by sister’s critical condition on February 16. Two brothers, Gordon and Robert Coode, also of Casey Creek, arrived the same day by plane. Two other brothers also survive Gilbert Goode of Louisville, Ky., and Millard Goode of Merrimac, in the same state.
The body was taken by train Tuesday night to Casey Creek where funeral services will be held, probably Sunday, with burial in Roley, Ky., cemetery. Mr. Scott and the four boys left Wickenburg by automobile for Casey Creek Monday.
