The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ June 6, 1947 Chicagoan Who Lived Here Past 8 Months Summoned in Phoenix Funeral services were to be held in Chicago for Leslie Henry Oswold, a resident of Wickenburg for the past eight months, who passed away last Sunday in a Phoenix hospital. Mr. And Mrs. Oswold lived in Reed’s Addition while residents here and became well acquainted during their brief stay in our midst. He had come to this country for his health. Mr. Oswold was a well known business executive in Chicago where he was vice president of the Bear Brand Hosiery Company. He was noted in the manufacturing world for his invention of a process for use in making nylon stockings which was taken over by the E. I. Du Pont Company. Surviving, in addition to the widow, is a brother, Irvin Oswold, of Evanston, Ill.
