The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ June 27, 1947 SUCCUMBS TO HEART ATTACK HERE WHILE VISITING RELATIVES Apparently in the best of health and enjoying a visit with members of the Jack Harris family at their home in Wickenburg last Saturday morning, Charles W. Hicks of Ralston, Nebr., dropped dead of a heart attack about 10:30 o’clock. Mrs. Hicks, who had accompanied her husband here, is a sister of Mr. Harris. Mr. & Mrs. Hicks had arrived in Wickenburg late Friday evening to spend the night and following day en route to their home in Los Angeles. He was a civil engineer and had recently been employed on a government job in Florence. Mr. Hicks was 47 years of age. In addition to the widow, he is also survived by a son, Charles, Jr., living in Los Angeles. The body was taken to that city Sunday night where funeral services were to be held early this week. Mr. Harris accompanied his sister to Los Angeles.
