Wenden Car Crash Kills 1, Injures 4

Three teen-age girls from California were admitted to Community Hospital Saturday following a crash on US 60-70 a half-mile east of Wenden. The crash which occurred when the westbound car entered a curve at high speed, skidded broadside through a guardrail and overturned twice, coming to rest right-side-up in a barpit, took the life of the driver, Timothy Ray Wilburn, 19, San Pablo, Calif.

Critically injured and hospitalized in St Joseph's Hospital, Phoenix, was Roanld G Rose, 20, Abilene, Tex.

Susie Jean Prince, 19, Tipton, Calif., and Diane Bean, 18, Oxnard, Calif., were released from Community Hospital Monday morning. Dorothy Rae, 18, San Gabriel, Calif., who is in serious condition with a fractured back, will remain in the hospital for some time.
