CHAVEZ, Maurico (Mauro)

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, May 4th, 2011 Maurico "Mauro" Chavez, age 84, of Miami, Ariz. passed away on April 29, 2011 at Heritage Health Care Center. He was born in Bisbee, Ariz. Maurico was a lifelong resident of Arizona. He worked at Phelps Dodge, Cities Service doing mine maintenance. He was preceded in death by his wife, Concepcion; his son, Mike Chavez; and brothers, Santiago and Leo Chavez. He is survived by his sons, Manuel Chavez of Mammoth, Ariz. and Frank E. Chavez of Miami, Ariz.; daughters, Terri Acosta of Miami, Ariz. and Maria Helen Telles of Mammoth, Ariz.; brothers, Tony Chavez of Bisbee, Ariz. and Conrad Chavez of Safford, Ariz.; and sister, Lilly Saenz of Safford, Ariz., as well as 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on May 7 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Miami, Ariz. Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. Service will begin at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament.
