Lorena Carolyne Taylor entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior April 29, 2011, at her home in Prescott Valley, Ariz. She was 91 years old. She was born Dec. 30, 1919, in Wessington Springs, S.D., the daughter of Harry and Mary Bailey.
Lorena was a member of Fountain of Life Community Church in Prescott Valley. She was an avid reader, loved quilting and sewing, and was a talented painter. Lorena retired as a school secretary in California.
Lorena is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Dan) Crouch of Prescott Valley, and son-in-law Leonard Chrastina of Dallas, Texas; grandsons Jonathan (Barbara) Chrastina and Nathaniel (Sarah) Chrastina, both of Dallas, Jason (Carrie) Chrastina of Portland, Ore., and Jeremy (Lisa) Chrastina of Springfield, Mo. Survivors also include her 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Delbert Taylor, daughter Janice Chrastina, four brothers and one sister.
Celebration of Lorena's life will be 10 a.m. with visitation one hour prior Friday, May 6, 2011, at Fountain of Life Community Church, 3160 North Lynx Lake Drive. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011, at Mt. View Cemetery, 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85207.
