Charlene “Char” Sugamele, 76, passed away April 29, 2011, in Lake Havasu City. She was born on Nov. 25, 1934, in Milwaukee, to Benjamin and Mildred (Kazansky) Parelskin.
Charlene moved to Lake Havasu City 18 years ago from La Puente, Calif. She worked at La Puente Lanes for 22 years. Charlene was a member of USBC Women’s Bowling Association for 14 years. She loved bowling, going to Laughlin, playing Bingo and Bunco.
Charlene was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa “Lisa” Sugamele; and her sister, Sallie Berman. She is survived by her husband, Richard Sugamele Sr., of Lake Havasu City; daughter, Lyndee Stunty and husband, Richard, of Dalton, Minn.; son, Rick Sugamele and wife, Patti, of Flagstaff; brother Kolman Parelski and wife, Nancy, of Mission Hills, Calif.; sister, Adrian Petersen and Don, of Mead, Okla.; sisters-in-law, Lyla Sugamele, of Lake Havasu City, Rosie Kester, of Las Vegas, and Shirley Sugamele, of Springfield, Ore.; and brother-in-law, Mark Sugamele, of Perris, Calif.; grandchildren, Shawn (Jessica), Melanie, Alan, Sergio, Mandy, Jordan and Nicolle; great-grandchildren, K.C., Devynn, Jasmine, Dominic and Seth; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be at Stonebridge Fellowship (Domes), 2700 Jamaica Blvd., Lake Havasu City, on Saturday at 1 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
