CARTER, Keith

The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ Tuesday, May 03, 2011 Keith Carter of Cottonwood passed away on April 28, 2011. He was born on Dec. 21, 1927, in Maud, Okla., to Clayton and Lily Marie Carter. Keith attended school in Maud. He later became an owner and operator of a petroleum business and a towing and service station in the oil field industry. Keith was Pentecostal and attended Assembly of God church. He enjoyed traveling, being a mechanic and overseas travel. Keith is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Judy of Cottonwood and nieces Kathleen May of Eugene, Ore., and Teresa Smergut of Wallowa, Ore. There are no services planned.
