The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 05/06/2011 Jack L. Vance, 60, died April 29, 2011, at White Mountain Regional Medical Center in Eagar. He was born Oct. 24, 1950, in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of William B. and Helen M. Cosby Vance. Jack was in charge of maintenance at the Elk Ridge Apartments until his retirement. He was a great photographer and loved music and movies of the west. He is survived by his son, Jonathan W. (Jessica) Vance of Eagle, Idaho; two grandchildren: Will and Audry Vance; sister Betty Vance (James) Massey of Lancaster, Ohio; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends in Eagar and Ohio. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Vance. A memorial service will take place at a later date in Cambridge, Ohio. Burnham Mortuary of Eagar handled arrangements.
