Dianne was born in West Reading, Pa., and lived in and around the Reading area until moving to Lake Havasu City. She lived there for about 15 years and then had to move back to Pennsylvania because of health reasons.
While living in Pennsylvania during her earlier years, she worked at several clothing manufacturers and last worked at Palmers Candy manufacturers where she tied many thousands of the bows you see on your Palmer bunnies at Easter. While living in Arizona, she worked at a nursing home run by Lake Havasu Ventures out of Vancouver, Wash. She also worked a short stint for McCulloch Industries, Award and the Prestige Assisted Living facility where she earned employee of the month.
Dianne was a member of LHC Chapter 75 of the International Footprint Association.
She was an avid bird watcher. She also was an avid and dedicated NASCAR fan of Dale Earnhart Jr.
She was a big collector of animals of all sorts and a collector of TY Beanie Babies of all the animals and birds.
She was preceded in death by both parents, Dorothy M. Nonnemacher Young and Herbert Edmund Young. She is survived by two sons and a daughter, Chris Fessett, Mark Fessett and Lisa Donovan. She is also survived by stepsons, Joe M. Zimmerman, of Howard, Pa., and Clarence J. Zimmerman of Orlando, Fla. She is also survived by husband, Clarence J. Zimmerman I.
Arrangements have been made by her and family to donate her body to science and a memorial will be planned in the near future. In lieu of flowers, she wished her friends to make donations either the Penn State Milton Hershey Children's Cancer center in Hershey, Pa., or the Mount Nittany hospital cancer center building Fund in State College, Pa.
